VIP stands for "Very Important Person" and denotes an individual who is considered to be of high importance and value. In the world today, VIPs encompass such people as political leaders, celebrities, and business executives.

VIPs enjoy special luxuries, privileges, advantages and sometimes outright gifts from corporations, governments and other organizations around the world. They are also entitled to greater privacy and security as they might have greater public scrutiny.
There are no definite criteria to become a VIP, but generally it involves being in a very prominent and powerful position, being influential or well known amongst the public, or having the financial resources to purchase VIP services. At the end of the day, it is up to each individual to prove to an organization or service provider that they are deserving of being a VIP.
